Two steps and a bath

Kizzie may be one step ahead but I catch up eventually. It will be a few weeks before she can reach to splash in this :)

I thought I should get Kizzie used to having a bath and because she had been happily splashing about in puddles I naively thought she might like to splash in the bath tub.

Hmmm. I won. I am shattered, dripping and now need to scrub the bathroom, but Kizzie is clean, (except for her head, which I didn't wash.)

I think Kizzie might be a bit cross with me.

splish splash

Kizzie is back to normal. She was a little brat at puppy class today, talk about 'shown up'. Brian was minding his own business sitting on his chair when it sort of collapsed. Miss K W had been digging in the sand, the hole was so big his chair fell in. Then she stole the box of chicken inducements and gobbled up half before we even realised she had it. All was forgiven when she showed off her high five, gimme paw and the very important wait. I won't report on the walking to heel as it is too embarrassing.

Kizzie has discovered a new game. This consists of her slapping her paw in her bowl of water. When there is sufficient water on the floor she paddles through it, stamping and splashing about. Throwing the bowl around is also very satisfying, as is picking it up and running around with it (whilst splashing through the Kizzie-made puddle). It is very hard trying to look cross and not laugh.

Not well

Kizzie is a bit 'under the weather', nothing obvious but she has been very quiet the last couple of days. I have been worrying since she ate a snail. I couldn't take it off her and she refused to drop it.

pffth

Most dogs send out toxic aromas. Kizzie is special. Kizzie pffths. Then she looks up accusingly, and saunters off. If I am quick, I can take a breath and slope off to make a cup of tea before the pong burns my nostrils. I occasionally make it to the kitchen before himself makes fwawing noises. The huge amount of chicken she ate today is not agreeing with her. Kizzie looks so adorable as she lays sleeping under my desk. I am sauntering off to bed for a breath of fresh air..

Dung

Horse dung to be more precise. Kizzie likes it. Yum.

One pic says it all

Really awful photo, with the light behind the subjects, I don't suppose I would win any prizes with this one, but would you look at that face.

oh no! Hurrah

We were having a lovely walk, just 50 yards from home we met a nice gentleman and his fluff ball dog. It was a bit timid and hid behind his human, we chatted for a while and then Kizzie threw herself at the dog. Twang! Unbeknown to me she had been chewing whilst I chatted.

I looked at the man and his horrifed face and said, "don't worry", although I was heading for a major panic. I called Kiz and turned and headed for home. SHE CAME!!

I was so proud I was busting with it. Kizzie got a new toy and some chicken.

Big girl, new stool

I spent the day in Leeds yesterday, me and Claire went to Ikea. Today Kizzie helped me put together the new stool. The old one was getting too small, Kizzie kept rolling off it so a bigger one was due.

This one is has a washable cover, was inexpensive and perfect for a little dog to lay on to watch the world go by. Kizzie has already made herself at home, (she borrowed the cushion from my chair)

Smugness doesn't pay

I was watching tv (the dog whisperer) and congratulating myself on how well behaved Kizzie is these days. Kizzie was outside when someone close by started up a lawnmower or something. Kizz shot indoors and jumped on my lap. There was a fusty soil type aroma about her. We don't have any exposed soil in our garden but I assumed she had been in one of the tubs again. I went over to the door to close it and shut the noise out. This is what I saw first...

"Oh no" I said, (or something similar).

Someone had been digging, and look what they did.

A closer examination of Kizzie showed that she is no longer chocolate coloured, but in fact clay soil covered. By this time Kizzie was fast asleep on my kitchen sofa, with it's brand new (put on yesterday) bright red covers.

I think I may have made it worse by laughing, she will probebly do it to the rest of the nice granite chips.

But she did pose for some nice photos

Kizzie's new best friends

Lily and Bobby came to visit. Who wouldn't want two delightful teenagers to play with? Kizzie is in love and she only disgraced herself once - she stole the girl's mums earing. Luckily I got it back before she could swallow it, I didn't fancy sifting through her poop. Janet forgave her.

The scariest day so far

We took Kizzie to the park and let her off the lead. How brave was that? She was a star and ran between B and myself and didn't run off at all. Phew...
